I love the contrasting cool and warm tones as the natural evening light fades and the city lights up in response! Walking back to the Metra station after a late afternoon downtown event gave me the time to watch it all unfold. Light and dark. Close up grit and detail with smoothing background patterns. Pretty amazing.
I found myself tempted to turn around and walk back east across the Chicago River and head towards the lakefront... I had an extra battery and room for more shots on the card... but not this night... the family was waiting at home. There will be another twilight downtown calling my name... and I will be there.
