This city is something else. Another shot from the classic 360 Chicago (Hancock Observatory.)
This is a single exposure image with zone masking. I also corrected the distortion in both LR and in Photoshop. I used Topaz Adjust to get a little bit more grit, contrast, and structure out of the skyscrapers.

I stayed here during my week long trip to Chicago in May. My very fine Flickr friend Tosin Arasi (TIA International Photography) recommended Evanston as a great place to stay while visiting Chicago, and I'm glad I did. It's a wonderful city with a wealth of nice overnight accommodations, great dining, terrific shopping and easy access to Chicago!

Again, I'm getting fed up with Yahoo's BS and intend to take a vacation from Flickr. But I hate to see you folks inconvenienced, and I'm sure that's not your favorite thing, either.
Is there anybody out there who could approve photos (and eject troublemakers) during my absence? Not just any random person blowing in off the virtual street (I have more sense than that), but somebody who has been an active contributor to this group?
If so, please use this thread to respond. I'll check back maybe once per month to see who has answered, and give people a few months to reply so all interested parties have a chance to act on the offer. We're off enjoying our summers, which are so precious around here, so I think one does have to give people a while under the circumstances.
As always your patience (and your work) is appreciated.

After half the summer has past, warm temperatures have finally found Chicago. Despite what may not be seen in these photos, there are vast numbers of people about enjoying the Sunday afternoon. In this case, a couple of dogs walked in and out of the frame to take a drink from the water … can't imagine the chlorine and chemicals being too tasty.
River East is not a neighborhood I have frequented much, to my delight it holds an architectural waterfall on the river-walkway. There were some black clouds entering the upper-right of the frame as well as their reflection on the water in the lower right corner over the three-minute exposure.
