The Blue Line

diane charvat has added a photo to the pool:

We were on the Blue Line going to downtown Chicago from O'Hare, when we decided to get off at the California station. We walked in the alley where the train "L" ran. One side is the backs of houses, the other side is the backs of businesses. Most of the back sides of the businesses have graffiti, or street art. We heard that they did this for the train folks.

(233/366) Lagunitas' Little Sumpin' Sumpin' Woman

We were visiting the Lagunitas brewery & tap room in Chicago to celebrate a friend's birthday. I've always enjoyed being in this whimsical brewery, and tonight was no exception. I noticed this wall art featuring their signature Little Sumpin' Sumpin' artwork painted on a wall which I photographed through an overlooking window. I just loved the vibrancy and the light and the colors...and that had nothing whatsoever to do with the product we enjoyed.

Pretty Creepy

I thought this section of the slaughterhouse was pretty creepy.... Plastic sheets hanging on the walls and ceilings everywhere.... A couple dim lights on and the smell of raw meat lingers through the air.... South Side Chicago

A Trio of Amtrak F40PHs in Chicago Union Station

railfan 44 has added a photo to the pool:

I yelled smile at them, and as you can see, the ladies did. 325 (center), 256 (right), and left unknown in March 1987.

The two guys are train crew. One climbed into 325 and the other kept walking farther back along the train. My guess is that they were going to back it to the yard.
